King’s College London Film Increases Alumni Sign-ups

We’ve been working with world-renowned King’s College, London over the past few months to create a film that celebrates the global King’s alumni community. The brief from the alumni team was to inspire the audience and to showcase the achievements of past students. Most importantly of all, the film had to truly capture what it means to be part of the King’s community. We enlisted the help of Olympic gold medallist, Dame Katherine Grainger, to narrate the film and blended shots of the campus and students with archive footage of notable alumni including Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Dina Asher-Smith. The film was released in late July and is already having a major impact with King’s seeing an 86% increase in alumni sign-ups compared to the previous year. Dylan Williams, Digital Communications Coordinator for the Alumni Association, commented:

“The purpose of the film was to engage new graduates and encourage them to become members of our diverse and international alumni community. The film most definitely helped us achieve that! We saw a massive increase in new graduates signing up to the website, and feedback from alumni both on the day of graduations and on social media was overwhelmingly positive. Working with Somersault was fantastic, and they were a great help at every stage of the journey.”
