'Backing the Best' with Sport England

We recently worked with Sport England to produce a film and new brand identity that will help to publicise their Backing the Best scheme. Backing the Best will commit £5.5 million of National Lottery funding over four years and will support the families of the next sporting stars, who might feel competitive sport is otherwise out of their financial reach.  Team Somersault visited Liverpool to meet Sophie Colebourn, the number 2 ranked boxer in her age and weight category. Sophie works hard every day  of her life, balancing studies, training and looking after siblings. The Backing the Best scheme has given her the resources she needs to train like a world class athlete. The film was released on social media and the Sport England website, followed by an appearance by Sophie on Sky Sports News where the film was also played out. In addition to producing the lead film, we also developed a brand identity around the Backing the Best Scheme, including a new logo and infographics (pictured above). We found working with Sophie incredibly inspiring and we're excited to see what she does next! Take a look at the finished film below:
