Henkel Use Video to Document New Office Construction

Somersault recently completed a series of three videos for global manufacturing company, Henkel. The videos documented the construction of their new state-of-the-art office facility in Hemel Hempstead, designed to bring the majority of their UK employees into one purpose built facility. They were used by Henkel’s Internal Communications team to update employees throughout the build.

Henkel operates worldwide with leading brands and technologies in three business areas: Laundry and Home Care, Beauty Care and Adhesive Technologies. They own and operate brands that are recognised all over the world, including Schwarzkopf, Loctite and Pritt Stick. Somersault worked with Henkel at a number of different stages in the construction project, producing video content to update Henkel employees on the build. The videos explained more about the layout of the building, answered questions for new employees and commuters and showcased some of the exciting new features. Once the construction was complete, Somersault returned to Henkel to film a full walk through of the new offices and to gauge the opinions of staff on their new working environment.

Sanjay Mistry, Head of Corporate Communications for Henkel commented:

“This project has been a major undertaking and we are extremely proud of our new facility which brings all of our brands under one roof.

With these videos we wanted to communicate internally exactly why the change was happening and how the new offices would improve the working environment for everyone at Henkel. We thought video would be a great way to enhance our other internal communications and so far the response to the new building has been excellent. Somersault really understood our communications brief and produced some top quality videos for us whilst causing minimal disruption to our day to day business.”
