Somersault have teamed up with Rothamsted Research, the longest running agricultural research station in the world, to produce a range of video content supporting the construction and launch of their new state of the art business and conference facilities.
Rothamsted is an International centre for science and innovation, built on a 330 hectare site with over 170 years of agricultural research heritage. The Rothamsted Centre for Research and Enterprise (RoCRE) has benefitted from funding from a number of partners including the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), a government organisation that invests money in bioscience research. Rothamsted is receiving up to £25m capital investment from the Lawes Agricultural Trust, Rothamsted Research and BBSRC to build a new Open Innovation Hub, state of the art conference facilities and a new business incubation space. Video is set to play a major part in RoCRE’s communications strategy to help attract new business to the facilities and to keep key stakeholders up to date with the progress of the construction. Somersault has provided video support in a variety of ways Рsetting up time lapse cameras to record the construction work and producing promotional films about the Centre to appeal to prospective tenants and stakeholders. Most recently the Somersault team delivered a full 3D ‘flythrough’ film of the new conference facility which is currently under construction. Rothamsted will use the film to help attract new investors and sponsors.
Chris Dunkley, Enterprise Projects Director at Rothamsted, commented:
“We have worked with Somersault over a number of projects now and we are delighted with the results. The 3D flythrough film means we can showcase our facilities before they have even been built. This will really help us to attract new investment. What has struck me is what a hassle free process it has been. Somersault’s project management and quality of work has been excellent.”
