The challenge.

To celebrate 40 Years in China, The British Council needed our help in designing a key visual that could be applied across a broad range of applications, media and products. It needed to be unique, adaptable and the cornerstone of an entire campaign identity.

The work.

Utilising classic colours paired with a contemporary form and tileable structure. The idea behind this was to identify areas of the dandelion that represent, in their form and structure, the messaging behind this campaign. We created modern, geometric and symbolic versions of these. Adaptable and tileable, these blocks can be used in many different ways to create a fascinating and abstract aesthetic applicable to a multitude of uses. A classic colour palette softens the line art and angles but still retains impact.

The outcome.

The designs have been used across a range of collateral, from PowerPoint presentations to T-shirts and even a limited edition Twinings tea!
